Corpus Christi Professional Soccer was formed by Dr. Kingsley Okonkwo to bring Men’s professional soccer to Corpus Christi and the greater Coastal Bend Region. Soccer is the most played and watched sport in the world. Bringing a professional team will help Corpus Christi to grow and bring fans from all walks of life together in shared team pride.
Our goal is to build community and be a force for good in our region, leveraging the “beautiful game” as our vessel to leave an enduring positive impact to ultimately make Corpus Christi and the greater Coastal Bend Region an even greater place to live, work, and play.
Corpus Christi Pro Soccer will build, own, and operate the men’s professional team. The USL League one is sanctioned by the United States Soccer Federation with 12 teams competing in the 2024 season.
STADIUM DETAILS
Corpus Christi Professional Soccer in partnership with Next Sports Company is currently developing a 5,000-seat capacity soccer specific stadium as part of the 46-acre Corpus Christi Sports Complex project. Location is critical when it comes to a successful stadium, for the club and for the fans. In determining where to hold our home matches, Corpus Christi Professional Soccer focused on creating the optimal fan experience, paying attention to pre-, during, and post-match activities and our fans’ needs. With this in mind, we are building a high-quality multi-use stadium situated centrally within the region, that is easily accessible and is located on Old Brownsville Rd by South Padre Island Drive (SPID). The Corpus Christi Sports complex facility includes 8 lighted mixed used fields that will also serve as the training fields of the professional team and its youth academy.
